hi, I'm Susannah
Find your Voice
Find Yourself
I've been developing this work all my life. Now, in our fast-changing, technology-driven world, I understand why. Our voice is our breath made audible, and exploring it brings us back to what makes us unique, and back to ourselves. When our voice opens, something in us opens too.
Whether you want to speak up, sing freely, or simply feel more at home in your own skin, I'd love to share what I've learnt and discovered.
No singing experience needed - Online and In-person

no experience necessary - just a willingness to explore

maybe you're here because...
Something in you is ready to be heard
– You used to sing, in the car, in the kitchen, with friends. Somewhere along the way, you stopped.
– What once brought you joy now feels like a thing of the past, and you're not quite sure where it went.
– You swallow what you really want to say or sing, in meetings, in relationships, or at the family table.
– In a world of screens and scrolling, you feel a little disconnected from yourself and from others.
Your voice is yours to use, every day. Finding it again can bring a freedom and connection you may not have felt in years
It's never just about singing
it is about you
I don't try to force or fix your voice. I help you discover the sound that's already there. As it opens up, a deeper connection with yourself tends to follow, quite naturally.
The voice is the muscle of the soul

how I work
The Free Voice
Approach
In every session, I weave together three things that most people learn separately, if at all.
Breath, so you can breathe, speak and sing with ease and come home to your body.
Sound, connecting with your own unique voice, both singing and speaking. Every one of us has a voice that is uniquely ours; it's only our judgement that tells us it's wrong. Through gentle and body connected voice work we release held tension and let your natural tone and self-acceptance come through.

Self, the struggles we have with our voice are often the same ones we have with ourselves. Working through them with kindness builds a deeper self-awareness that reaches well beyond singing.
a little about me
Meet Susannah
M.A Vocal Pedagogy, B.Counselling, CPAT, Body Work Therapist.
I have always loved to sing, act and express myself. Like many people, I've also known the other side of it: comparing myself to others, not feeling good enough, pushing my voice too hard. What kept me going was the joy singing and creating has always given me. Over time, those struggles became a way to heal and to get to know myself more deeply.
That path took me across the stage, singing in showbands and duos, performing solo and acting in theatre, and into vocal coaching, lecturing, counselling, breathwork and body-based therapy. Over more than 30 years I've brought it all together into one gentle, practical way of working: Free Voice.
My approach is grounded in voice science and many years of training, counselling, performing and teaching, but what I find matters most is the person I'm working with. I create a space that is safe, real and fun, where exploring your voice can show you more of who you are.

"Your voice naturally reflects who you are as you find ease and freedom"

in their words
"I'm living in Canada now, and any time I feel homesick, or my emotions and anxiety get on top of me and it all feels like too much, I go somewhere by myself and sing some songs. I'm so grateful to have had a singing teacher who had such a profound effect on my life. Our lessons were always the highlight of my day. No matter my mood, your positivity, kindness and warmth always made me leave smiling, despite coming in upset".

Cleo: Individual Session
"Truly such an incredible, heart and voice opening experience. Words don't do justice to how grateful I am".
Shanai: Vocal Workshop
"I already have an awareness of my voice based on having sung in choirs and also having studied Speech Pathology. I really liked the opportunity to spend time on the accent breathing and experience a very different way of using the breath for the voice".
